David M. Kolakowski D.D.S. P.C. offers a full array of dental services to help you maintain healthy teeth. We have treatments for patients fo all ages and needs.
Your teeth will be cleaned by one of our Dental Hygienists to maintain healthy teeth and gums. We also take x-rays for proper diagnosis of anterior and posterior teeth. Our office is digital, and we have the ability to take your bite wing x-rays and see them on screen within seconds.
We offer two types of materials that you may choose from for your fillings. These materials are Resin and Amalgam. Resin fillings are made of natural-looking, tooth-colored composite that ensures a shade that matches your teeth. Amaalgam is a silver-colored filling made out of an extremely durable material.
Crowns are synthetic cap, usually made of a porcelain like material, placed on the top of a tooth. Crowns are typically used to restore a tooth's function and appearance following a restorative procedure such as a root canal. When decay in a tooth has become so advanced that large portions of the tooth must be removed, crowns are often used to restore the tooth.
Bridges are natural-looking dental appliances that can replace a section of missing teeth. Because they are custom-made, bridges are barely noticeable and can restore the natural contour of teeth as well as the proper bite relationship between upper and lower teeth.
Veneers are thin pieces of porcelain or plastic cemented over the front of your teeth to change their color or shape. Veneers are used on teeth with uneven surfaces, are chipped, discolored, oddly shaped, unevenly spaced, or crooked.
Our office offers better-looking and better-fitting dentures, and we're always ready to help you with forms and insurance. If a removable partial is your treatment choice, we will help you restore comfort and proper function.
Periodontal disease starts as an infection in the gums, caused by bacteria in plaque. The infection causes the gums to become swollen, tender, and pull away from the teeth. If left untreated, this causes bone deterioration and eventually tooth loss. At our office, we work closely to keep your gums healthy with recurring periodontal maintenance.
Many tooth problems involve infections that spread to the pulp, which is the inner chamber of the tooth containing blood vessels, nerves, and other tissues. When the infection becomes worse, it can begin affecting the roots. Root canal therapy invloves removing the diseased tissue, halting the spread of infection, and restoring the healthy portion of the tooth. In fact, root canal therapy is designed to save a problem tooth. Most patients who have root canal experience little or no discomfort or pain, and enjoy a restored tooth that can last almost as long as its healthy original.
Our office offers an array of orthodontic treatments ranging from full comprehensive care to minor tooth alignments. Our patients can choose from traditional metallic orthodontic brackets, clear orthodontic brackets, or clear aligners. Each case will receive a thorough diagnosis, followed by a detailed consultation where the appropriate treatment regiment will be decided on.
